What Is Clore.ai?

Clore.ai is a decentralized platform for renting GPU (graphics processing unit) computing power. It creates a marketplace where people with powerful graphics cards can rent them out to users who need computing power for tasks like AI training, machine learning, 3D rendering, and cryptocurrency mining. Think of it as an Airbnb for computer hardware — you can make money from your idle GPU when you're not gaming or using it.

The CLORE token is used to pay for GPU rentals and to reward providers who share their hardware on the network.

The Problem It Solves

AI and machine learning are booming, but they require enormous computing power — specifically GPUs, which are expensive and often in short supply. Cloud GPU services from Amazon, Google, or Microsoft charge premium prices, and many researchers, startups, and developers simply can't afford them.

Meanwhile, millions of powerful GPUs sit idle in gaming PCs, cryptocurrency mining rigs, and small data centers around the world. This is a massive waste of resources: there's both an oversupply of idle hardware and an undersupply of affordable GPU access.

How It Works

Imagine you have a powerful gaming computer. When you're at work or sleeping, your GPU sits idle for 12+ hours a day. Clore.ai lets you list that GPU on its marketplace, where someone in another country can rent it to train an AI model, render a video, or run computations.

Providers install Clore.ai's software, which securely makes their GPU available to renters. Renters browse available GPUs, comparing specs and prices, and rent what they need for as long as they need it. Payment is handled in CLORE tokens through the platform. The renter gets access to the GPU remotely, runs their workload, and the provider earns tokens for the time their hardware was used.

The platform handles all the complexity of connecting renters to providers, managing security, and processing payments automatically.

Why It Matters

As AI continues to reshape every industry, access to affordable computing power becomes a critical bottleneck. Clore.ai democratizes this access by tapping into existing, underutilized hardware around the world.

The project operates alongside Render, which focuses on 3D rendering GPU power, and Bittensor, which creates a decentralized AI training network. Together, these projects are building a decentralized computing infrastructure that could challenge the dominance of centralized cloud providers and make AI development accessible to everyone.
